Diabetic Dessert Recipes: Buttercream Cake Frosting
This is the perfect topping to many cakes, cupcakes and pies!
Ingredients
1/2 cup water water
2 tbsp skim milk, powder
2 1/2 tbsp white flour
1/2 cup margarine , luke warm
10 g Equal packets
1/2 tsp vanilla ext, lemon, or almond extract
Instructions
1 Combine the water, powdered milk, and flour in a bowl.
2 Heat over medium heat until thickened, stir constantly.
3 Take off the heat, place container in cool water, and stir til chilled.
4 Mix the margarine and sugar substitute together until light and fluffy.
5 Add the cooled sauce 1 tbsn at time to the margarine while mixing.
6 Stir in the vanilla (other flavorings) at a high speed.
7 Refrigerate the frosting til time to serve.
